BROWARD LEE O'PRY
Broward Lee O'Pry, 71, of Marianna, Florida died Tues- day, April 19, 2022 at his residence. He was born March 12, 1951 in DeFuniak Springs to William and Hazel. He made his living as an Electrical Engineer for Florida Public Utilities. Broward was a jack of all trades. He loved spending time with his family, especially when they were togeth- er on his back porch. Known as the best tractor opera- tor around, when he wasn't on the clock, he was work- ing on clearing land. When the weekend came, he was elbow deep in grease getting ready for the Race Track. He was preceded in death by his father, William Doz- ier O'Pry and mother, Hazel Lee O'Pry; brother, Wil- liam Dozier O'Pry, Jr.; and dear friend JR Gortemoller. Broward is survived by his children, Tammy Bevis and husband, Andy, Jeff O'Pry and wife, Michelle, Ste- phen O'Pry and wife, Amber, Tony Tye and wife, Beth; grandchildren, Stephen Bevis and wife, Savanah, Josh Nickles and wife, Kayla, Kayla Nickles, James Lien, III and wife, Julie, Kristi Lien and significant other, Otha, Ceanna Smith and husband, Justin, Payton Singletary and husband, Tyler, Madison Clark and husband, Luke, Ryan O'Pry, RhaeLynn O'Pry, Spencer O'Pry, Toby O'Pry, Ulijah O'Pry, Vincent O'Pry, Jeffery Tye, Justin Tye; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Weslee, Waylon, Tren- ton, Bellamy, Jemma, William "Will", Elliott, Kara, Ash- er; siblings, Larry O'Pry, Marry Moone and husband, Leo, David O'Pry, James O'Pry, Martha Sego and hus- band, Rickey; special friends, Steve and Peggy McCool; and his loyal four legged companion, Buddy. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, April 22, 2022 at Damascus Free Will Baptist Church with Odis Whitehead officiating. JOHN J. LEPKO
John J. Lepko, age 85, of Marian- na, FL, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family. John was born October 5, 1936 in Hartford, CT and was a proud veteran of the United States Air force. He retired after 26 years of service with the rank of an E7 Master Sargent. John has been a resident of Jackson County for the past 21 years, previously residing in Hartford, CT and California. John was a caring father to his three children and a loving husband to his wife of 65 years, Marie. John was of the Catholic Faith and attended St. Anne's Catholic Church. He enjoyed collecting coins and De- partment 56 of the Disney Christmas Village. He also enjoyed hunting, staying home, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Alexandra Zera Lepko and three brothers, John Jr., Stanley and Joseph Lepko. John is survived by his loving wife, Marie Ann Lep- ko; two daughters, Pamela Roller and Theresa Rischar and husband, Timothy; son, Anthony Lepko and wife, Kelly; seven grandchildren, Christopher and Brandon Roller, Alexis Rischar, Samantha Loris and husband, Joey, Michael, Brieanna and John D. Lepko; seven great grandchildren, Liam, Mason and Bryson Roller, Kai- den, Christian, Maddox and Zera Lepko. Mr. Bradenton Williams of Mari- anna gained his heavenly wings on April 5th in the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. He was 18 years of age. He attended the public schools of Jackson and Liberty Counties, graduating from in 2021 from Liberty County School system. As a young child, he attended Buckhorn Missionary Baptist Church. ESTELLA DELORIS JOHNSON
Ms. Estella Deloris Johnson, of Marianna, Florida, the Mt. Olive AME Community, made her tran- sition on April 16, 2022 at home. She was 94 years of age. A native of Jackson County, she was the Jehovah faith and a mem- ber of the Kingdom Hall of Jeho- vah's Witnesses. She attended and graduated from the public schools of Jackson County. She furthered her education at Florida A&M University graduating with a BSN degree in nursing, MSN from Chicago State University and continued at St. Francis School of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois receiving training and certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She was an active member of the Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Incorporated while in her prime. A legacy of love and memories will forever remain with two daughters, Wanda Williams and Wendy Gibson and husband Terry both of Marianna, Florida; two step sons, Rhodell Fields and wife Syble of Springfield, Maryland and Richie Fields of Union City, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Bethany Williams, Philadelphia, PA, Rebekah (Rico) Wil- liams, Marianna, FL, Sarina Sapp, Manvel, TX, Olivia Wil- liams, Marianna, FL, Michelle (Winifred) Schelly of Doug- lasville, GA, Jessica Williams, Marianna, FL and Michael Jason Jones, Tallahassee, FL; she was blessed with many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a be- loved nephew, Lamar Johnson, Southern California; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Grandma is known as 'Cheatney'. I'm sure there is a story behind that name! She enjoyed gardening when able and loved for a good looking man to smile at her. Loved to hear Al Green and Barry White sing. She enjoyed social gather- ings in their Chicago basement which was a social hub (Q's house) for Florida families and friends. A Homegoing Celebration will be held Friday, April 22nd, starting with a viewing at 1p.m. and the discourse at 2p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel, Brother Linwood Dickens presiding. Memorialization will be by cremation with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
XAVIER RICARDO PETERSON
Mr. Xavier Ricardo Peterson of Greenwood, Florida gained his heavenly wings on April 8th, 2022 in Grand Ridge, Florida. He was 29 years of age. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church. He attended and graduated from the public schools of Jackson County, the Marianna High School Class of 2011. After graduation, he enlisted with the United States Marines. He served his country and received an Honorable Discharge. Upon his reentry into civilian life, he became an independent truck driver. He leaves treasured memories with one child, Kingston Xavier Peterson of Chesapeake, Virginia; his parents, Ed- die and Kim Peterson of Greenwood, Florida; two broth- ers, Moses and Elijah Peterson both of Greenwood, Florida; his biological mother, Ingram Norwood of Tupelo, Mis- sissippi; uncle, Willie (Priscilla) Peterson of San Antonio, Texas; aunts, Mildred Calhoun and Viccie Borders both of Greenwood, Florida; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. SPENCER MASSLIENO
Mr. Spencer Masslieno gained his wings in Friday, April 15th in Panama City. He was 62 years old. Memorialization will be by cremation with a memorial to be held at a later day. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
